I'm Calling It In Week Two
The CAA is a sad sack of shit of a conference. Villanova takes it, and no CAA team makes it to the semis.

The beefing up of Maryland, Rutgers, Pitt and UConn and the creation of ODU; the improvement of FCS programs like Albany, Fordham, Stony Brook. I think all of these have really drained the talent pool for this conference. There's always been Penn State, VA Tech, BC, Syracuse getting the best of the region, so they don't really make a difference. But it's been all downhill the past five years.

and Temple getting better. Also, Charlotte pulling scholarships from the CAA pool.93henfan wrote:The beefing up of Maryland, Rutgers, Pitt and UConn and the creation of ODU; the improvement of FCS programs like Albany, Fordham, Stony Brook. Frustration reigns in Newark. Keep the rest of the conference out of your mess. It's a little too early to draw this conclusion.93henfan wrote:The CAA is a sad sack of **** of a conference. Villanova takes it, and no CAA team makes it to the semis.
Looks to me like Richmond, New Hampshire, William and Mary and Nova will make the CAA a pretty tough conference at the FCS level.

I gave your team a compliment shitstick. You guys are the best of the slop. You win the prize.vutomcat wrote:Frustration reigns in Newark. Keep the rest of the conference out of your mess. Best of the slop....hoo boy! Don't know what I was thinking.

Sorry if "shitstick" was too much. Only 99% of VU fans are shitsticks, so I should give you the benefit of the doubt.

Careful eating the crabs today...sounds like the symptoms of eating undercooked ones are close to what you share with us on your posts.
Staphylococcus is a common type of food poisoning caused by bacteria that thrive in spoiled meats and other foods that have gone bad. If you eat spoiled crabs legs that host this bacteria, you will experience symptoms either immediately or within a few hours. The usual symptoms of this type of food poisoning include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness and abdominal pain. Symptoms usually go away within a few hours. Medication is not necessary in most cases, but water and liquids can help prevent dehydration from the fluids lost to vomiting and diarrhea.

No it hasn't. Last 5 years:93henfan wrote:The beefing up of Maryland, Rutgers, Pitt and UConn and the creation of ODU; the improvement of FCS programs like Albany, Fordham, Stony Brook. -09' W&M loses to Nova in semis, Nova wins NC
-10' UD in NC game.
-11' down year
-12' down year
-13' 2 teams in semis.
Now this season remains to be seen. Sure Nova looks like an NC contender. But W&M's 34-9 loss to VT doesn't look bad at all now. And they just beat Hampton (42-14) a lot worse than ODU did (41-28). UNH only trailed one of the best (if not the best) MAC teams 16-14 at the half before Toldeo blew the doors off in the 2nd half.
UR could still be good. They spanked Morehead 55-10, then lost @ UVGay by 32, giving up 7 turnovers that led to multiple UVGay scores, including a scoop and score. Turnovers can be corrected. And UVGay held #7 UCLA's touted high power offense to 7 points, and got 3 defensive TDs.
Maryland, Pitt, and UVGay all appear to be much better teams than last yr. SBU doesn't lose to Bryant if Coker isn't suspended, and nearly knocked off UConn. lbany appears improved.
Again, TOO EARLY to pass final judgement on CAA.
