After my not so great showing (2-5) last week that puts me at 34-15 for the year, I desperately need to be perfect and get back to somewhat respectable. If last week is any indication, this week is going to be fun. My predictions for this week in the conference.
Yale at CP---The Mustangs step out of conference and host the Ivy League's Yale team. Just a break in the schedule and not really a break in their momentum...CP 42, Yale 24.
UND at ISU---The Bengals have showed a penchant for beating the DII teams and have struggled with DI. The former Sioux have played two ugly games in a row and now they go on the road. Something's gotta give...ISU 28, UND 25.
NAU at MSU---The Lumberjacks played an all around great game last week against Montana. The Bobcats played a great game last week at North Dakota. The winner could have the inside track to contend for the title...NAU 21, MSU 14.
UNC at Sac State---The Bears put up a good tussle against Southern Utah last week while the Hornets finally looked like they should against Weber State. This could have been a good game two weeks ago...Sac State 31, UNC 10.
PSU at UM---The Vikings self-destructed down the stretch last week against Cal Poly while the Grizzlies also self-destructed at Northern Arizona. Two high powered offenses getting together could be a shootout. Possible upset, but the Vikings can't seem to get out of their way...UM 45, PSU 35.
UCD at SUU---The Aggies took care of Idaho State last week while the Thunderbirds outlasted Northern Colorado. Surprising that both teams come in to this game 1-0. More surprising is that the Aggies could be 2-0 afterwards. Well, that can't happen...SUU 31, UCD 17.
WSU at EWU---The Wildcats folded last week against Sacramento State while this is the Eagles first conference game. On paper this reads as a blowout all the way, yet last year the Wildcats gave the Eagles all they could handle. But that was last year...EWU 42, WSU 14.
I got MSU over NAU...not a curbstomping without McGhee, but enough to win. I'll take Venus' other picks. Sorry, JAL. I just can't see the Bungles beating ANYBODY in the Sky this side of UNC this season....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
I picked the upset over MSU last week, and that turned out horrible.
I'm picking the Bobcats this time. I think NAU played way out of their minds last week. I don't think they're that good on a consistent basis, and Montana played just about as poorly as humanly possible.
UND at ISU - Going with UND. Toss up imo as neither team has looked good recently.
NAU at MSU - Is McGhee back? If not I think NAU keeps its momentum going.
UNC at Sac State - Hornet injuries are piling up, but if we take care of business we win. Oddly enough the recent games with UNC have been closer than they should have been. Probably the same case again here as the Hornets look to stay unbeaten against UNC.
PSU at UM - No way UM pulls back to back no-shows.
UCD at SUU - SUU carries their momentum into another win, this time at home.

3-4 for the week, 37-19 for the year. Maybe I'll resign my position.
