To be fair, I think a lot of people other than Griz fans bought into the Griz hype.
Lots of people picked us to beat NAU by 20+.
So it wasn't just us.

Our season ain't over yet, folks. I seem to remember getting pummeled by a mediocre Sac team two years ago, and then making a semifinal run the very same season. Stay tuned.

JJ looked inept in both games, and our lines got dominated.Grizalltheway wrote:Our season ain't over yet, folks. I seem to remember getting pummeled by a mediocre Sac team two years ago, and then making a semifinal run the very same season. Stay tuned.
Lots of similarities.

Honestly, I thought Johnson looked fine last night when he had more than 2 seconds to get a throw off. Hard to be effective when you're ass-to-turf every other down.

Re: The Grizzzz
Some of these people yapping about how bad the Griz are would be more credible if they had the balls to say it before this game.
I have been skeptical yet optimistic about the Griz and I still think we can be just fine. What will determine how we are is how we bounce back after this loss. One loss, even this ugly, does not make us a bad team. Sometimes you have a bad day, the other team plays great, you match up badly, lots of factors go into a loss. I think we can be just fine but only time will tell.

Montana got pounded by Weber in 2008 and made it to the chipper. Long way to go.

JJ was way worse in the Sac game (3 picks). Here, he ended up with an average efficiency rating (127).uofmman1122 wrote:JJ looked inept in both games, and our lines got dominated.Grizalltheway wrote:Our season ain't over yet, folks. He still hasn't thrown an INT this season. My bigger concern is that he seemed to get impatient & throw up fades/bombs to covered WRs for about half the game. I'm pretty sure there were other routes for him to look at.

And really, thinking back on the game, the O-Line was clearly the weak link for us.
Maybe some of them are playing banged up?
I have no idea why Weyer was in there. He was pushed around a lot.
I think they might have just been overwhelmed initially by NAU's tenacity, and panicked. They looked panicked all game.

Gragg may have to get in their heads a bit. Who knows if they'll still trust him now that he's skinny, though?
