These two longtime SWAC rivals go at each other tonight on ESPNU 6:30pm footballs will be flying threw the air.

The problem is that the SWAC is really bad. Why would anyone outside of the SWAC fan world care? It's awful football conference.

A shame. Because se once the SWAC was something else. That was back when major universities would not give Black players a chance.

But now they do. So the SWAC is pretty much irrelevant. And it really sucks in terms of the caliber of its teams. It lives in its little incestuous world playing its Bayou Classic and its SWAC Championship game with teams that would get creamed by the champion of the D-II Gulf South Conference and could not possibly compete int he mainstream of FCS.

And so it goes.

It's not irrelevant they still produce nfl caliber talent I guarantee you the nfl will be down their this year looking for more talent to rejuvenate the league.As a matter of fact they have Terron Armstead of Arkansas Pine Bluff posted the fastest (40) yd dash ever recorded by a offensive lineman he was taken by the Saints in the 4th round.
