As you all know, the current game in Frisco is played in a soccer stadium.
Today the Dallas Cowboys and Frisco announced plans for a 91-acre practice and entertainment facility to be built in Frisco, including an indoor stadium that will be built in partnership with the local school district. I wonder if it will be big enough to move the FCS NC game to, and out of that soccer stadium....

Who cares? You really want the NC game to be played indoors? The stadium is just the right size for the game, and will likely sell out even if NDSU and a local team aren't playing in the game.

so you're saying you want to move the national championship game to a high school field?

Have you seen some of the HS fields in Texas? They make every single FCS stadium with the exception of about 6-8 look like, well, high school stadiums.JayJ79 wrote:so you're saying you want to move the national championship game to a high school field?

And here I thought you were morally opposed to indoor stadiums all these years, AZ?AZGrizFan wrote:Have you seen some of the HS fields in Texas? What is it about my initial post that makes anyone think I WANT to have the game played indoors? I merely posed a question....

The idea is intriguing...I agree with AZ about the fact the Texas can make any facility look incredible. Plus, how many Super Bowls are played indoors now days?? It's not like Frisco is a tropical place where you go to enjoy warm weather. It only feels warm to those of us coming from the cold places in January. I'm open to the idea, although Pizza Hut Park in Frisco did a fantastic job the year we went down in 2010.
