UNH Has QB Issues

Post by Col Hogan »

R.J. Toman's health has never been more important.

With the recent transfer of back-up Kevin Decker, the University of New Hampshire football team lost its insurance policy should anything happen to its starting quarterback. Toman, who will be a junior next season, opened spring practice Thursday morning as the only signal caller on the Wildcat roster with experience at the college level.

Headline is a little misleading. Having a backup competition doesn't really translate to having issues at the position. The two redhsirts were both good prospects coming out of high school, and having three QBs on the spring roster is adequate. CAA teams with QB issues this spring would be Towson, UMass, Northeastern and URI.

A real issue for UNH would be their o-line. Losing 4 of 5 there is a big deal.
