Here, I'll do this instead:
Opponent - chance of win
Appalachian State - 45%
@North Dakota - 65%
Oklahoma Panhandle State - 97%
@Northern Arizona - 60%
Portland State - 85%
@UC Davis - 60%
Cal Poly - 70%
Eastern Washington - 65%
@Sacramento State - 55%
@South Dakota 80%
Weber State - 90%
Montana State - 50%
Would come out to 8.22 wins on average
Now let's see your full predictions and/or %'s smart guys
65%? Greater chance of beating us than UCD? Is that something like 2-1 odds (I suck at math)?
I'll take that bet.
It means I think we beat you at home 2 games out of 3. Seems reasonable
Last season's comedy of errors and lack of QB aside, playing in WaGriz is generally a pretty heralded advantage

Well like I said, my math skills suck. So no on the 2-1 bet? I'll be there in person to collect...

please review psu's bsc rankings for 2012
avg points scored game 2nd
total offense 2nd
total defensive 8th
rushing offensive 2nd
passing offense 10th (thats the pistol for you)
rushing defensive 3rd
unfortunately they were 12th in pass defensive. thats what killed us. all of this was done while playing
25 freshman- including the quarterback. i think the vikings will surprise some teams
this year especially if they can find a decent CB or two.
Congratulations.
You were still 3-8, with only two D-1 wins: 1-10 ISU and 4-7 UCD. Terrible.

App State - L (50% W chance)
@ North Dakota - W (65% W chance)
OKPSU - W (99.9999999% W chance)
@ NAU - L (60% W chance, but I don't think we go 11-1, so I picked loss)
PSU - W (80% W chance)
@ UCD - W (75% W chance)
CPSLO - W (70% W chace)
EWU - W (55% W chance)
@ Sac - W (65% W chance)
@ USD - W (75% W Chance)
Weber - W (80% W chace)
@ MSU - W (60% W chance)
I think NAU, Sac, and MSU are all more likely losses than App State. It's at home & App has a new coaching staff. The Mountaineers are also very young (only 11 seniors compared with 45 freshmen).
This may be the weakest App State team in several years.

I expect the Griz to tune them up for us again.

Cal Poly beat a good NAU team on the road to earn a share of the Big Sky Championship. A team Montana lost to at home.
Cal Poly returns 18 starters off a 9-3 team. Looking forward to the game in Missoula. You will see this tiger has teeth. I hope to make the game.
As far as a fluffy OOC schedule we play two FBS programs including top 25 Fresno State and two FCS teams. Fans who are playing Oklahoma Pan Handle State should not cast stones on strength of schedule.
I think I was pretty clear that the OOC schedule I was talking about was the FCS schedule. You've got two cupcakes while we have App State. Let's not try to compare "counters".
Why look only at FCS OOC games? Let's compare both OOC schedules toughest to easiest:
Toughest: Ap State for Montana and Fresno State for Cal Poly. Advantage Cal Poly.
Next toughest: UND for Montana and Colorado State for Cal Poly. Advantage Cal Poly.
Next toughest: USD for Montana and Yale for Cal Poly. PUSH.
Easiest: Okahoma Pan Handle State and Univesity of San Diego for Cal Poly. Advantage Cal Poly
While I'm not so sure I'd call Fresneck "tougher" than App State, I'll grant you the rest of that comparison. I just don't think we'll EVER see Fresneck pull off the things App has done....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Games that count only if you win:
Poly 2
UM 0
Games that count regardless:
Poly 2
Montana 3
Assuming you don't win either of those games, among the games that actually matter, your schedule is weak, even compared to Montana.

Fresno State will be a preseason top 25 team in 2013 and would be favored against Ap State.

I'm not saying its not genius scheduling--especially if you're going to schedule two automatic losses. And Colorado State WILL beat you guys. Like a drum. So you'd better hope your boys don't step on their dick and lose one of the pushovers.

I am just saying Cal Poly has a better OOC schedule than Montana any way you look at it. Cal Poly had 4 counters to 3 for Montana. Cal Poly gets two FBS checks. Cal Poly has two FCS OOC home games (one in state school and one against a historic program) and Montana only has one home FCS OOC (great game BTW) and one against a very bad DII team. Tell me you are excited about OPHSU? I can honestly say I am excited about ALL 4 of Cal Poly's OOC games.
And BTW, CSU is not an automatic loss. Probable yes, automatic no way.
Not even sure why this is being debated. The two OOC schedules aren't even close. And outside of the home and home with App, Montana's OOC schedules are historically made up of very weak teams.

No dis-respect to App
I'm glad you said it....I thought maybe I had missed something.
