I'd dearly LOVE to slam the 9-3 prediction...but given THAT sched, I can't. In fact, I wouldn't consider E KY a locked-in-stone loss for Coastal, either. We could be looking at a 10-2 (or even 11-1, as Mark's declaration of the loss to Liberty as a "toss-up" is correct) Chanticleer team this coming season, and that hurts.

Toss-up, schmoss-up. Liberty has outscored Coastal 153-64 over the last three games in Williams Stadium.

We are 5-5 in the series.
2010 - Liberty @ Coastal - W, 45-31
2011 - Coastal @ Liberty - L, 63-27
2012 - Liberty @ Coastal - W, 36-12

In the last game, which really is the best measuring tool, we out rushed you guys, were only threw 63 less yards than you guys, our Qb threw for 63.6% vs 58.1%, you threw 3 interceptions(1 of which was a TD for us). LU punted 3 times from within the 20, you had 1 fumble, we had more offensive yards, you guys were 35% in the Red Zone, we were 56.5%. Clearly, the better team won last year and THAT team is more likely to show up than the team from 2011 and 2010.

However, any given Saturday....

Coastal doesn't do well at Liberty. However, we had a strong showing last year and anything can happen. Notice, I said we'd lose but there is the chance that we win. :coffee:

This is actually a direct transcript of the CCU coach's halftime speech in 2011 when his team was down by 35 at the break.

He also mumbled something about "cats in the screen door" and then zipped his jacket up over his head.
