Rambling thoughts

Post by ∞∞∞ »

First of all, I want to congratulate Georgia Southern fans on the win. I have a feeling we will see you guys soon in a bowl or maybe a series. And when that day comes, I hope we'll finally have your number.

Second, I just want to say that you'll never see me bad-mouthing the FCS in any way whatsoever as ODU transitions to the FBS. It's been an amazing four years watching this program grow and the loss today really put it into perspective how tough it is to earn a National Championship at this level. Today's hurt will go away, but the memories I've made will always stay. All in all, the FCS is an amazing division of football and I had a lot of fun watching the Monarchs compete in it.

As for ODU, on to the next one...

It is what it is. Much credit goes to GSU. Their defense stepped up and their offense finally wore us down.

I hope our players have no regrets. They may have never won the National Championship, but the foundation they built for the program will be their lasting legacy and for that, I'm eternally grateful.

The way ODU rose up through the ranks in such a short period of time is a sign of how well your athletic administration is being operated. Kudos to the ODU program and good luck in the FBS!

BTW, I partly take back my comment about not looking down on the FCS because...

...I will always make fun of JMU.
