that's what you get for not going for the kill. Hopefully the new coach has some sort of killer instinct

Piss poor game management there. 2 timeouts in the back pocket and zero runs when another 5-7 yards makes the FG that much more makeable. EWU couldn't stop the run if they wanted to.GoAgs72 wrote:Blocked FG to tie it. The story of this year.

This game was eerily similar to our game. Difference being we had a hail mary attempt at the end instead of a miracle FG attempt.SoCalAg wrote:that's what you get for not going for the kill. Hopefully the new coach has some sort of killer instinct

The Aggie/Hornet game will be a toss-up but I fear the Aggies will find a way to lose. Just not like teams we've had in the past.

It's a heated rivalry, anything can happen. Hopefully the week off was put to good use. Seeing the farm extension put up this tough of a fight should give our players a reason to not overlook this game.GoAgs72 wrote:The Aggie/Hornet game will be a toss-up but I fear the Aggies will find a way to lose. With a potential playoff berth and the Causeway on the line, I have no doubt that the Hornets will be ready for the game. For the Aggies, a chance to ruin that and send Biggs out....it should be a special nightSDHornet wrote:It's a heated rivalry, anything can happen. Hopefully the week off was put to good use. I don't think we have a shot for a playoff berth. Even if we win, I think we are still on the outside looking in. But if that's what Biggs needs to tell his players to get up for the Causeway then so be it.SoCalAg wrote:With a potential playoff berth and the Causeway on the line, I have no doubt that the Hornets will be ready for the game. It's not luck. We seem to get lulled into a sense of complacency and play like shit, then with our backs against the wall we turn it on. If we played a full game every week, we'd be having games like we did against UND (55-17) and CP (34-17).SeattleGriz wrote:I am not trying to jinx EWU, but their luck will run out quick.
Give UC Davis a lot of credit though, they came to play and had a good game plan for us. Our DL couldn't pressure for shit, so Wright had all day to throw. EWU offense was not focused at all. Way too many drops on some easy catches. Can't believe Herd dropped that sure TD.

My point is that EWU will quickly run into a team that won't give you the chance to work the kinks out. The game will be over and EWU fans will be left saying, "coulda, shoulda, woulda".Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:It's not luck. I wish it wasn't true, but have seen EWU pull too many games out of their asses this year.

They did the same thing in 2010.SeattleGriz wrote:My point is that EWU will quickly run into a team that won't give you the chance to work the kinks out. I know, and I am not trying to jinx things, but I am just saying that is about time the luck runs out. It happens to all teams.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:They did the same thing in 2010.SeattleGriz wrote:

Lord knows I would love to have EWU win it all so I can gloat about how we had you on the ropes and only lost because we were too young.

Re: #5 EWU vs. UC-Davis Game Thread
I know what you're saying. I also think every team has games where the other team plays better...but I also think the really good teams find ways to win thise games. Your point about the EWU-UM stands, but I could also say the same thing about several of those match-ups where the Griz were on the winning end. The 2004, 2007, and 2009 games stick out. And thise were all pretty good Griz teams.SeattleGriz wrote:I know, and I am not trying to jinx things, but I am just saying that is about time the luck runs out.
