Looking forward to the Oct 6th game, which will most likely be Weber's homecoming

Wow. With ANY kind of a team next year I can see CP going 9-2 with that schedule. You got every creampuff the BSC offers.SloStang wrote:Cal Poly 2012 Football Schedule

Agreed, although I'd say 8-3 is more likely. Think they'll have a tough out against Sac, and maybe looking past them to their big game against EWU.AZGrizFan wrote:Wow. Re: Cal Poly announces 2012 Football Schedule
I think the question marks here are Wyo, PSU, Weber, and Sac. EWU is a tough draw for the cheesy "OOC" pick, but it's not like CP has much choice short of a D-III (there isn't even really a D-II in SoCal).
The four I label question marks are all winnable for CP, but none are guaranteed wins. I think that out of those four games, CP should come out at least 2-2, if not 3-1.
The rest of the schedule should be easy wins for CP unless for whatever reason they fail to show up. I won't venture an overall guess, but it SHOULD be a pretty good year for CP. It's good to see them back on the Sac schedu, too.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: Cal Poly announces 2012 Football Schedule
Cal Poly and EWU had agreed to this game (and last year's) as a home and home before they were ever extended a bid into the BSC, FYI.SuperHornet wrote:I think the question marks here are Wyo, PSU, Weber, and Sac. Re: Cal Poly announces 2012 Football Schedule
If that's truly the case, SE (and you have no reason to make that up), then I retract the cheesy comment. It's good to see people honor their commitments.
It'll still be a tough game for CP. I fully expect EWU to be back at or near championship caliber since the Eagles have had plenty of time to heal up their injuries. Heck, there were indications of that late last season. I think the Eags take it....

QB is the big unknown at this point, so we'll see. As our QB play goes, so do we.SuperHornet wrote:If that's truly the case, SE (and you have no reason to make that up), then I retract the cheesy comment. It's good to see people honor their commitments.

It seems every time EWU graduates an All-Everything QB another one steps in and they don't miss a beat.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:QB is the big unknown at this point, so we'll see. Erik Meyer, Matt Nichols, Bo Levi...
Next up... Vernon Adams?

All I know is that it seems like every time we play Cal Poly, it is a whale of a game. It's going to be really hard to top that epic, triple OT thriller from this season, though.SloStang wrote:It seems every time EWU graduates an All-Everything QB another one steps in and they don't miss a beat.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

Really good series series developing between the two schools. Why Cal Poly wasn't added to the Big Sky a long damn time ago, I will never know.

Plus, there was a d@#$ good movie that at least referenced CP.

I can see Poly going 8-3 next year, playoff bound..........

Re: Cal Poly announces 2012 Football Schedule
Looks like a good schedule - no D2's and only one FBS. Only a few creampuffs - good for strength of schedule but hard to win plus you need to get past UC Davis - three losses in a row for Cal Poly.
Re: Cal Poly announces 2012 Football Schedule
Yeah, and it was three wins in a row before that for Cal Poly. We get UC Davis at Cal Poly in 2012.GoAgs72 wrote:Looks like a good schedule - no D2's and only one FBS. The next 7 months are going to be sooo long. I cant wait to see Cal Poly in the Big Sky!
Creampuff or not this is the best schedule Cal Poly has played in the FCS era. It seems like forever since they have not had some kind of hellacious road trip followed by some crappy DII non counter... Oh and Davis fans Cal Poly will whoop your ass this year, count on it.

Re: Cal Poly announces 2012 Football Schedule
Exactly my thinking on that....Only one, maybe two games where I wouldn't pick them to win (as of now that is)AZGrizFan wrote:Wow. With ANY kind of a team next year I can see CP going 9-2 with that schedule. You got every creampuff the BSC offers.SloStang wrote:Cal Poly 2012 Football Schedule
