Eastern Washington senior quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, right, the 2011 Walter Payton Award recipient, is joined recently by the university's other FCS Awards winners from left, Erik Meyer (2005 Walter Payton Award), J.C. Sherritt (2010 Buck Buchanan Award) and Greg Peach (2008 Buck Buchanan Award). Eastern Washington is one of five schools to have at least four FCS Awards winners. Appalachian State leads with five, followed by Eastern Washington, Georgia Southern, James Madison and New Hampshire with four each. The FCS Awards are sponsored by Fathead.com.

Interesting.....are they counting Edwards as two different people? Wouldn't it just be 4, even though Armanti won it twice?

Throw in one of the more prolific passers in FCS history in Nichols and TJ who left early and that's a whole bunch of talent over a 7 year stretch.

Ok......so App State fans. Does App State have 5 different award winners, or are they counting Armanti twice? Just curious.

Technically, they only have 3 different winners. Dexter Coakley won the first two Buchanans, Armanti won two Paytons, and Jerry Moore won the Eddie Robinson.

Not to mention the plethora of talent at WR over the years... Eric Kimble, Aaron Boyce, Nate Overbay, Brandon Kaufman, Nick Edwards.

Not sure, but I think that was a career ending injury he had at Montana in 2009. Shitty way to go out ending your career on such a close game like that. His brother red shirted at Eastern this year, though. I hope he turns out to be as good as Aaron was.
