Great series!

And tough opening for JLS. He's gonna need some divine intervention to not start 0-4 or worse

Color me jealous. I'd love to get a home and home with a decent team from across the country.

Cal Poly had a home and home with McNeese State, but Hurican Ike (I believe it was Ike) canceled Cal Poly's game in Lake Charles in 2008 and McNeese canceled the serries instead of rescheduling. Cal Poly signed a one game contract with McNeese state and played there in 2010. I would love to see Cal Poly sign another home and home with McNeese. It would be great to have the Cowboys in Spanos Stadium. Great program and fans.

Great move for Weber.

This schedule, though, brings up the question of homecoming. The best TEAM on the home schedule for homecoming is probably Cow Poly, who is nobody's chump. However, the team in the best position for the traditional formulation of homecoming is Montana (following two roadies and a bye), and I wouldn't wish THAT on anybody. Plus, Montana is positioned too late in the season for a good homecoming game. I'm betting on CP as Weber's homecoming, at least until Ryan or another fan confirms it for us.

Really? I'd be surprised if they were worse than 1-3. I don't see why Weber couldn't beat EWU and/or McNeese at home.

I see potential for Weber to open 4-0. 2-2 is more likely, though. Venus is correct about the home games. Fresneck is on a downturn, having just canned their longtime coach, and BYU isn't all that, either. It's not like they're playing LSU....

This is a good schedule. Not a big fan of scheduling two FBS games, but getting a home game with McNeese makes up for some of that. There is only one game on the schedule that is an automatic loss, and its not the Montana game. Weber won't win in Provo. But I would say every other game is winnable, including Fresno. And as far as travel goes, three of the away games are relatively easy road trips, and the other three are short flights to California. But it is weird not seeing MSU, NAU, or PSU on the schedule, especially MSU, who Weber has played every year since 1963. 2012 would have been the 50th straight meeting between the two schools.

Love to see Weber schedule games like this more often, and hope to see more Southland and maybe even MVC and Southern teams on thier future schedules
