Yeah sorry. I meant ORV. Auto text replaced it with OVC somehow.
And neither Alabama St nor Jackson St get that type of recognition because neither have done anything to support their ranking.
In defense of Alabama St they are among the nation's leaders when it comes to turnover margin that is why they are amonf the best in 1-aa.Also when it comes to scoring defense both Jackson St and Alabama St are 4th and 5th nationally also in scoring offense Jackson St is in 15th in the country.Kejuan Riley of Alabama St is among the nation's leaders in interceptions and he plays Safety he's also been mentioned as a finalist for the Buchannon Award
Against the weakest schedules available. They wouldn't have anywhere near those stats if they actually played someone other than weak SWAC and MEAC teams.
I just don't see what they have done is enough evidence to support the fact that they are one of the 20 strongest teams in the country.
There are numerous other teams that may have a few more losses, but are far and away stronger teams and have played much stronger schedules.
And to be clear, I'm not saying they don't deserve consideration for the Top 25. They do. The problem is I see teams on the outside looking in that are stronger teams and deserve it more.

Okay but they play against the ppl on their schedule something they can't control. If they could play some strong non-conference teams I'am quite sure they would be more than happy to.

They have the ability to play a stronger OOC schedule. They, like the Ivy's, chose not to. They play their historic matchups regardless if those matchup bring down strength of schedule.
I don't necessarily blame them - there are reasons that trump trying to prop up a team for the opinion of others - but they shouldn't expect to be considered stronger as if they did actually beat someone worthwhile when they make that choice to not schedule anyone.
