Haha. Yeah. Like I said... not a huge fan of 3 decks. I get queezy looking at it. Would not want to be up there for a game. Not as bad as Kyle Field, though.

That level is someone's idea of a joke. Unless, of course, they plan to 'cantilever' the structure over Stadium Drive.
Maybe they should start a campaign to purchase 'air rights'

EWURanger wrote:Dude, this is just freakin' awesome.......serious question, though. What is the plan with the track? I noticed that the new end-zone grandstand covers up part of it. Since this looks like a permanent structure, why not just get rid of the track altogether and lower the field?
Wow. Now that's a track calling the track a track.
Wtf are you talking about? I'm well aware that EWU has a track around it's field. Not sure what that has to do with anything. My question wasn't meant to be snarky, it was legit.

I'd just block off the horseshoe with more seats, there's certainly a lot of space there and there's the issue of another track facility, the rocks, the streams, the mole people, etc but really it would look a lot better and like a very good FBS, maybe not BCS, stadium (wrong thread?)

Over my, and 4-5,000 other, dead bodies.
There would be mass insurrection, and the administration and athletic director that suggested such would be catapulted into the Linville Gorge as an example to others who may think it is a good idea.

The hill at KBS sucks donkey boner. There's always idiot kids playing tackle football and getting in your way and come November it's always wet or snowed up and unusable. Turn it into seats and move it closer.

Agreed. JMU had a track. Covered the one endzone with a building rendering it unusable, so when they built the new side, they moved it closer. I guess it's a lot easier when you are demolishing a side though. AppSt should have seriously considered doing that to solve that problem.
Track around field... sucks.
Track around field that can't even be used...
ASUG8: Yes, Bridgeforth is lopsided. The bad news is that for a few years we will have posters from others schools posting that Bridgeforth is lopsided. The good news is that after the east stands are completed JMU will have a beautiful football stadium that a majority or near majority of 1A programs would love to call home...

I'm not hating on Bridgeforth - JMU did an amazing job and it will be the jewel of FCS once completed.
I was just replying to the zing that a third deck would make it second only to BofA tower in total height.
I've sat a good ways up the third deck at Kyle Field. Not as bad of a seat as you would expect. You'll go crazy though going up those ramps. The students run up it trying to get the best seats.
