We had two runners with over 200 yards each (McCaffrey and Kavanaugh both). You're right, we did't get that in the run and sh*t.weberwildcat wrote:I dont know if im more shocked that PSU or WSU runs so much this yr. Re: Portland State to be ranked on Monday?
I do love your argument, but one thing you're overlooking is that MSU and UM are "THE SHOW" in the state of Montana, while most other BSC schools compete with the Wahingtons/Oregons/Utahs/Calf./AZ schools for attendance, so easier said then done, but I like your thinking, just go to the damn game!!SACCAT wrote:![]()

My god people, stop bitching and do something about it. Take a group of friends to a game, and show them how much fun they are. Wear your gear around town to show everyone that is matters to people. Get your Admin. at the school to Market your product better. Be relevant more than just every 4-5 years.
Weber gets a GREAT crowd to go to B-Ball games, why don't those same people go to Football games.

Re: Portland State to be ranked on Monday?
NAU is not a “commuter”or “non traditional” school by any means. There are approximately 16-17,000 undergrad students that go to school on the flagstaff campus, 7,000 are housed on campus most if not all of them the traditional 18-22yr old. If you’ve ever been to flagstaff the area surrounding the campus “West Flag” is basically an extension of the campus with more traditional students renting houses or apts. We don’t have a problem getting students to the games; the marketing dept. does a piss poor job getting the flagstaff community involved. U of A and ASU are there but theyre not the main problem. If we were trying to avg. a respectable 10-12,000 attendance just a little more marketing effort in the flagstaff area alone would suffice.weberwildcat wrote:ok now add unc and nau and the list is complete.WeberAlum02 wrote:

PSU had 436 yards rushing in Pocatello. NAU had 336 against ISU.weberwildcat wrote:I dont know if im more shocked that PSU or WSU runs so much this yr. Did anyone see PSU's box score against Idaho St? 336 yds rushing. i rmeember when htey would have 500 yd games and have 10 rushing yrds. lol

I have done each of those things and much more for years. I'm personally responsible for growing our core fan base from 3861 to 3886 and eclipsing the 6,000 mark in the semi's last year.SACCAT wrote:![]()

Re: Portland State to be ranked on Monday?
Weber has always been a basketball first school, thanks in large part to their past successes in hoops and past mediocrity in football. Plus, Weber has always been able to compete with the other Utah schools in basketball. That's never been the case in football. And Utah in the past was always a basketball state, although things have changed within the past 10 years and football seems to be king now.SACCAT wrote:Weber gets a GREAT crowd to go to B-Ball games, why don't those same people go to Football games

Re: Portland State to be ranked on Monday?
it is our coach's fault basketball is not as popular in utah now. he built Utah from garbage and now they are a big program. so it is all about byu and utah football. personally i just dont get it, i have a hard time understanding why the majority of the population is so infatuated with colleges they never attended. weber might have a small fan base but our fans are legit, they actaully went to the college.

Unless McGee gets knocked out early. It happens at PSU.AZGrizFan wrote:The game is in Portland.89Hen wrote: Bobcats by 20.

Re: Portland State to be ranked on Monday?
reads a lot like UNC too. I don't blame CSU, even though they're about 40 minutes apart. CSU doesn't do that well with their attendance even though Ft.Collins as over 200,000 population and the college has almost 30,000 students. I blame our marketing department at UNC. Horrible. We do have less students than NAU, we're at 12,000. I like the Flagstaff campus. My sis-in law graduated from there. I even have an NAU t-shirt.NAU_Alum10 wrote:NAU is not a “commuter”or “non traditional” school by any means. Re: Portland State to be ranked on Monday?
my mistake. nau does get good student turn out for football. i have been to a game there so i have seen it. but what is th deal in basketball? NAU is one of the worst in the sky for bball attendance yet baldy always has good teams.NAU_Alum10 wrote:NAU is not a “commuter”or “non traditional” school by any means. After today's game (38-36 MSU) I'd say PSU deserves to be ranked a little higher than it has been.

I'd put the PSU fighting refs at #25. They tried to give it to you...frinq wrote:After today's game (38-36 MSU) I'd say PSU deserves to be ranked a little higher than it has been.

Re: Portland State to be ranked on Monday?
C'mon, Bob. It was bad both ways. The conference should suspend them, I think. The refs did a lot of "anticipating" instead of calling it like they saw it I thought. Myself, I am not a big fan on flags flying 30+ yards and I saw alot of that for both teams.catbob wrote:I'd put the PSU fighting refs at #25. The Bobcats need to work on their special teams play. Other than that, they are pretty solid. McGhee is a great one.
