Georgia State to play Tennessee

Georgia State will get its first taste of Rocky Top in 2012.

That’s right, the Panthers will play at Tennessee in college football in 2012.

The game will be played Sept. 8 and Georgia State will receive $500,000. The Panthers received more than $425,000 for their trip to play Alabama in 2010.

The game will be another in a challenging schedule for GSU. The Panthers will begin CAA play in 2012 as well.

The Volunteers will play N.C. State in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff game at the Georgia Dome to open the 2012 season, and will face the Bulldogs later in the season.

Thats for sure but it must be pretty cool seeing your team play in these two stadiums in your first three years of having football regardless of how bad the butt kicking might be....

The Vols aren't nearly as good as Alabama so I don't think the butt kicking will be as bad.
