Weber State new assitant coaches

Weber State football coach Ron McBride announced three new members of his football staff.

Taking over as the defensive line coach will be Inoke Breckterfield, A native of Honolulu, Breckterfield played four seasons at Oregon State under coach Mike Riley. In 1998, he was named first team All-Pac 10 and third team All-American. He left OSU as the school's career leader in tackles for loss with 55.5 and quarterback sacks with 19.5

McBride- Inoke was an outstanding lineman at Oregon State and in the Canadian Football League, so he knows what it takes to be successful. He will be a real key for us for our recruiting efforts especially in Hawaii.

Former BYU quarterback Jason Beck takes over as Weber's quarterbacks coach. Beck comes to Weber after spending the 2008 season serving as a graduate assistant at LSU where he assisted former BYU head coach Gary Crowton in running the Tiger offense. LSU set 10 offensive school records in 2008 and averaged 38.6 points per contest.

McBride- Jason has a great feel for the game and has picked up some valuable experiance the last three seasons. He has a calm but intense demeanor in his coaching style. He will be a great fit for our program.

And Former Universtity of Utah and NFL star, Andre Dyson comes to coach the defensive cornerbacks. Dyson is no stranger to the top of Utah. He grew up in Clinton Utah, and earned all-state honors at Clearfield High( My School) under coach Randy Johnson (My football coach). He also earned all-state honors as a soccer player as well, He still holds the Clearfield High school record in the 40 yard dash at 4.41 seconds. Dyson went to play three seasons at Utah under McBride, then went on to play seven seasons in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans, Seattle Seahawks, and the New York Jets.

McBride- Obviously Andre brings a great deal of experiance to our coaching staff. He's been under the influence and learned from many excellent coaches from high school through his professional career. He knows what it takes to be a successful defensive back and I have full confidence he will impart that knowledge to our players. We are very lucky to have him join our staff.

Hopefully this means a very bright future for the Wildcats.
