While it's theoretically POSSIBLE for UW to go to Cheney (as then-crappy Oregon State went to Stockton in 1995 and got beat in the midst of a 3-8 year for UOP featuring other body-bag games like Fresno State, Arizona, Nebraska, and the Oregon Ducks), what is more likely is for UW to sign a home-and-home or a front-loaded 2-for-1 WITH AN ESCAPE CLAUSE, and then when all EWU @ UW games are played, UW would then execute the escape clause with a bit of cash.

OK. I've long held the belief that SH enjoys this shit. But now I'm beginning to get the impression that Ursus is complicit.

Up until a couple years ago, it was a huge deal for a Pac-10 team to even go to play in Boise, so obviously not even WSU is going to go play an FCS on the road. And that's Boise State. I don't even think most Pac-10 schools would even go to Reno, or Fresno.

EWU did host Idaho a couple times after they moved to I-A, but obviously they were still in the old Big West back then. I think Montana hosted them a couple times before the WAC put it into their rules than members can't go on the road against FCS.

So that got me to thinking a little. What if WSU and EWU agreed to play their 2012 in Joe Albi in Spokane? Would both schools be able to count this as a home game? This is the only sort of scenario I could think of in which an FCS school "hosted" a Pac-10 school. And this is probably only due to proximity. Obviously, the game wouldn't be on campus so this would probably be considered a neutral venue.

The Nebraska Cornpackers are in fact, going to play Wyoming in Laramie this fall.

Wyoming has agreed to provide their ass for kicking something like three times in Lincoln to make this happen, but big red is in fact coming to Laramie.
