NCCU fired Moses Rison today, the day after losing to Georgia State in OT. Them Eagles are serious about their football.

Hopefully this idea of holding their athletic departments accountable will spread across the entire MEAC
MEAC, last one out turn off the lights.

I've never been a fan of firing a coach during the season. With Bethune-Cookman and ODU the only definite losses on the schedule, NCCU will probably end up 5-6.

The title of this thread makes me feel kind of guilty.

And this pic, makes me feel kind of bad for the guy.

I wonder if he realized it was going to be his last game at the helm. Judging by the comments by some of the NCCU fans before and after the game, it seemed like he probably did.

I wasn't at the game and was watching online, but it seemed like the NCCU team had some real class. I remember one time, after Drew Little got sacked one of the NCCU defense players gave Drew a pat on the helmet and helped him up. Just don't see that much on the field.

Don't feel guilty; he lost to us last year too. That's two years in a row he lost to first team years...it's for the best.

edit: pretty excited to see the Bill Curry in Norfolk on Saturday. Never did I imagine that in a million years!

NCCU gave us a scare last year in Norfolk, particularly with 28 unanswered points in the 2nd half.........Kids played hard and never gave up.

I hope for their fans that they agree with this move. They were good folks that travelled to Norfolk, and deserve some stability in a program entering the Bermuda Triangle of 1-AA, the MEAC...........
