Defensive Player of the Week: Prestin Brown, Texas State
Brown led Texas State with 11 tackles against Cal Poly's triple-option offense from his nose tackle position. The freshman from Chishcogo, Minn. (Grand Prairie [Texas] High School), had six solo stops and also assisted on two tackles for losses and a quarterback sack. Brown leads the Bobcats with 22 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks, through three games.
Honorable Mention - Offense - Dexter Imade - RBSpecial Teams Player of the Week: Ben Follis, Texas StateFollis averaged 45.3 yards on six punts (272 yards) in the upset of Cal Poly last Saturday. The junior from Arlington, Texas (Martin), had two consecutive punts land inside the 20-yard line that forced the Mustangs to begin their last two possessions on their own 4-yard line in the final 5:20 of the game.

Offensive Player of the Week: Jeremy Moses, Stephen F. Austin
Moses completed 37-of-55 passes for 356 yards and one touchdown to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 22-20 victory at No. 10/13 Northern Iowa. The senior from Baytown, Texas (Lee), became only the second Southland Conference quarterback to record 10,000 career passing yards. He now has 10,243 yards, trailing former Central Arkansas quarterback Nathan Brown, who threw for 10,558 yards between 2005-08. Moses also became the first conference quarterback to complete 900 passes in his career and now has 932 completions
