Who impressed you most and least in week 2?
Re: Who impressed you most and least in week 2?
Oh you've got that right, I put us as the biggest loss in the AGS poll. But if anything that loss will help us get our focus back, and is probably exactly what that team needed.

Most: JMU, not question. Huge win for them. Congratulations!
Least: NDSU. Go figure. That's football.
Not suprised by Griz loss. I felt we were way overated to begin with and that the two road games (Cal Poly and EWU) would be very difficult games to start the new season with. Griz have a long ways to go to be in sync. I look for it to happen though.

An unranked FCS team beating a ranked FCS is a mild upset.Gil Dobie wrote:Time will tell how good Cal Poly and Montana are, but an unranked team defeating a #1 ranked team is big news IMO.Silenoz wrote: Well when you self destruct and start giving up 80+ yard TDs, pick sixes, overthrown balls on wide open guys in the endzone, repeatedly rough the passer when they fail to convert 3rd and long, etc. it's says something that we lost by 2.
An unranked FCS team beating the #13 ranked FBS team is a HUGE upset.

Well, if you wanna get technical...andy7171 wrote:So you're saying it wasn't holding?SuperHornet wrote:But if one expands out of FCS, the Griz loss gets blown away by that bogus sleeper hold tonight in D.C. I'm REALLY p!$$ed about that.
IMO, it goes just a bit BEYOND holding. Personally, I would have called an unnecessary roughness personal foul, ejected him, THEN declared the game over under the offensive-penalty-on-the-last-play-ends-the-game rule. That would sorta force Gene Washington's hand to suspend and fine the punk.
For once, I blame the player, not the official....

Most impressive: Cal Poly, JMU, Liberty, Delaware, South Dakota, Georgia Southern defense
Least: Western Carolina (Tusculum.....really? How bad can it get?), South Dakota State, Eastern Illinois, Southern Illinois (I thought the Salukis would at least make it a game).

Seriously, we all have bad games & slip up once-in-a-while, but the cantamounts have turned this into an artform...

Most Impressive: Being a major homer and not giving a shit about anyone else except in how they relate to Furman, my answer would be Furman
Least Impressive: Well that would be WCU.

Re: Who impressed you most and least in week 2?
JMU impressed me the most
I know there were surprises to favorite teams like Montana and Georgia St. But the biggest disappointment to me was Southern losing their home opener (with a new coach and supposed "new attitude") 31-7 to Arkansas-Monticello. I feel bad for those 14,000 fans that showed up.

JMU
SDSU
Loss was not respectable in any way shape or form. An overall lack of focus, etc.........no Conrad for the rest of the year.....and one of the linebackers is hurt...so not sure how the rest of the season is goingto turn out. However...SDSU has always been a slow starter.
SDSU
