Tracy and Moats playing LB and you can tell they are new as they are hesitant on reads but once they see the ball they look comfortable going to get the ball carrier. Both have a good tackle in the first quarter.

A decade ago I thought it was only a few teams playing the 3-4, and now its about a doz. I remember reading somewhere last yr that 4 teams went to it last yr and now there about a doz teams running it. I'm willing to bet $ that both Moats and Tracey wither get drafted 2nd day or free agent contracts to teams that run the 3-4. They'll be the rush OLBs in a 3-4. That defense is perfect for those 230-260 tweener types in college to come in and play at around 240-270. Usually to undersized for a de end in a 4-3, and too heavy/not fast enough to play OLB in a 4-3.

James Harrison would be a prime example. Playing hybrid linebacker/defensive end in the 3-4, only listed at 6'0", 242. An undrafted free agent out of Kent State by the Steelers, 2 time pro bowler. In 08' he had 16 sacks and was named the NFL defensive player of the year.

Just do a web search using "hybrid, 3-4, linebacker" and there's all kinds of articles on this. Have read some and from what I've gathered, teams playing the 3-4 this past season:

Miami (hybrid (mix of 3-4/4-3))
San Francisco (hybrid)
New England
Baltimore
NY Jets
Cleveland
San Diego
Kansas City (went to 3-4 this past season)
Green bay (went to hybrid 3-4 this past season)
Denver (went to 3-4 this past season)
