Both teams prayed for Hudson as he was take out. Hope it's just a stinger.

Back-to-back sacks force GaSo to punt. Crappy punt this time.

Georgia Southern DB Presume suffers spinal injury

BOONE, N.C. (AP) — Georgia Southern defensive back Hudson Presume has been taken to a hospital after suffering an apparent spinal injury during the Eagles’ game against Appalachian State.
The sophomore was tackled awkwardly during a scramble for the ball after he forced a Mountaineer fumble on Saturday in the second quarter.
He was immobilized and carted off the field on a stretcher.
The Bradenton, Fla., native was rushed to Watauga Medical Center in Boone. He was conscious and undergoing further examination.

Word from App's radio guys is that he can feel all his extremities and it's a concussion and nothing more. Hopefully that's what it because the alternative would be paralysis (not saying a concussion is a good thing but it's a best case scenario after not moving on the field for several minutes).

Back-to-back sacks from App again force a GaSo punt.

51-yard rush from Cadet on 3rd and long puts App in the rd zone. He already has 121 rushing yards. He reminds me of Vince Young due to his build and how he's hard to take down.

Crap. GaSo INT in the endzone and it's returned to the GaSo 30.

I've said it before...NO ONE wants to see ASU in the playoffs.

Folks, this is probably one of the best offenses you will ever see at our level. The amount of weapons on this team is unreal. If you shut one down, there are literally 5 others who will kick you in the dick and score. If our defense plays the rest of the season the way they played today...watch out. Quick, Hillary, Cline, Moore, Chisholm (remember this name - RS Frosh), Baker, Elder, Jorden, and the man, myth and legend; Armanti Edwards.

I only hope that the rest of ASU Nation realizes what we are getting to see on a weekly basis. Edwards is absolutely unreal. He makes passes that some pro QBs can't make. He can scramble away from trouble, fumble the ball, pick it up, then hit a streaking receiver as he falls for a 20 yard gain. No matter who you cheer for, you owe it to yourself to watch him play at least once.

Georgia Southern defensive back Hudson Presume was taken to Watauga Medical Center in Boone after injuring his neck on the same play in which he forced a fumble. He was later released to travel home with the team after regaining full movement and his tests came back negative.
Thanks for the prayers everyone.

Well I'm anxious to see Armanti in the NFL and the host of other App. stars that most certainly on their way to the NFL... this should be quite a draft for Appalachian

Imma wait until November to fully apologize for all the terrible and horribly true things I've said about John Wiley and our defense, but I saw a lot of things I liked today that I haven't seen all season long. Zone blitzes? Seriously? Who knew we were capable of such things? Up until today I did not know that it was not considered unsporting, as well as being quite advantageous, to strike an opposing gentleman while he is attempting to throw a football. It was all like pip, pip, motherfuckers, watching a bunch of magnificent bastards swarm around the football for four quarters. It was like living in THE FUTURE, a version shockingly neither dystopian nor dysfunctional, a potential genesis for hope and rebirth.

I'm not sure, but I think you were pleased with the defensive play. Maybe Cleets or one of those other Harvard fucks can translate, cause that last sentence is about four levels over my simple head.

Just so everyone knows what AE's done in in the last 6 quarters in which he's played: 719 passing yards and 5 TDs. He left the GSU game after the first drive of the second half. He also became only the second player in Division I history to pass for 8,000 and rush for 4,000 yards. He'll most likely eclipse 9,000 passing in the next two weeks (8,829 yards to this point). A deep run into the playoffs and he might hit 10,000 or more.

Sure... let me take a crack at it:
1) Bench is considering that what he saw might be what the future brings (as in good defense)
2) He observes that perhaps the teams inner conflicts are behind them
3) He closes with a positive notion that there is fertile ground for confidence that this trend will continue
