SUU vs Cal Poly - crazy ending!!

cal poly beat SUU on saturday in a heartbreaker for the tbirds. i was hoping SUU to get the win and it should have put SUU in the top 25; suu was very close to being ranked as it was and it would have been their 2nd straight win against a ranked team since playing FBS Utah St where they scored 35 pts.


Crazy finish!!!

in the cal poly game on the road suu scored a TD with 9 seconds left in the game 24-23. SUU missed the extra point so no overtime.

SUU then went for the onside kick and got the ball! unfortunately the QB got sacked and fumbled, cal poly got the ball and the game ended.


So for those that saw WTF???

Thats a pretty bad ending but Weber's game at Colorado State is still worse.


30 seconds to go in the game; down by one point on the 10 yard line, the QB fumbles the snap and CSU got the ball and the win. Weber said they were just going to knee the ball on the play.

After finally living up to the hype and playing four quarters in the last two games, Weber has hopefully been disenrolled from "Mistakes R Us" club.

Congrats to SUU for an improving program in 2009! No offense to the T-Birds, but the Cal Poly win serves Weber's interests by improving the the power ratings of our opponents. Hosting Cal Poly at home for the final contest of the regular season should be a great game!
