keep kicking the can down the road boys... really does us all well to keep this story going... there are two easy fixes available... one - change the name (easy to do if just one person at UND had any testicles) two - someone do what Florida State did... drive a dump truck full of money to the tribe and buy them off... but for God's sake... end this.GRAND FORKS, N.D.- The University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux nickname will live on for at least 30 more days to give the new Standing Rock tribal council a chance to weigh in on the issue.
The state Board of Higher Education extended today's deadline in a 6 to 1 vote.

Re: ND Board of Higher Ed gives UND yet another nickname reprive
The reprieve was granted because Ron His-Horse-is-Thunder (now small thunder) who blocked allowing the Sioux name to be used, lost hid bid for re-election to the Standing Rock tribal council to a proponent of allowing the people to vote. The Spirit lake tribe has already voted and approved use of the name by a 2/3 majority.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:another 60 days from the pathetic, weak-willed SBoHE...
