More Montan Players in Trouble...

Post by SUUTbird »

I read this and i could not believe it...two starters for the Griz assaulting another student...these guys should have been kicked off the team. And before anyone says it im not singling out the Griz for this but i believe any team that has ANY players do this off the field, those players should not be allowed to play.

Whatever. A dude got mouthy called TJ a racial slur and got his ass kicked. If I had been TJ I would have done the same thing. Shut your fucking pie hole if you ain't looking to mix it up. Get a little sick of people thinking they have free reign to say whatever they want to others with no reprisals. What a country of fucking pussies this place has turned into.

BTW this happened back in March and was handled as it should have been. A guy picked a fight, got his shit handed to him and both parties made apologies to each other for the incident.

I love how others can make something that the victim said he was AT LEAST partially responsible into something that affects them somehow.

A dude started shit with me downtown a couple of weeks ago. Guess what...he got knocked the fuck out also. He learned that trying to be a big man doesn't always work out for you. I feel quite good that I was able to give him an education on the matter.

Oh, and I would like to thank a couple of guys that put me in place when I was being a fuckhead as well. :thumb:

OH MY GOD!! A COLLEGE KID GOT IN A FIST FIGHT!! OH THE HUMANITY!!!!

What a bunch of disingenuous crybabies that want to make this out to be anything more than that.

It was only a matter of time before other FCS fans made this laughable. I am not denying that Montana in the last few year has had problems (along with several other FCS teams) - but there was no police report. No facts. And the KAIMAN is the leading source. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Wow okay...before you freak out anymore first off where does it say he used a racial slur against TJ or is that just another accusation? And second of all i agree that i would be pissed off it that had happened to me, but still instead of TJ facing him himself he went and got 2 of his buddies to gang up on him   ...im sorry but that is a very cowardly action. If he had gone head to head by himself it would have made TJ look better in my eyes but instead he had to get a few friends to gang up on him which i believe warrants strict action. I credit Hauk for handling but still TJ could have been the bigger man (and again im not singling out montana.)

This was only your typical college party with a typical quick fight. The players, the parents, and the student(s) involved settled it in what is rare in today's society, a civil manner. There were apologies on both sides, and the parents did not headhunt anyone. Imagine that, parents that hold their own kid just as accountable as the other parties. I really do hope people can learn something from these parents in the proper way to resolve a typical hs through college problem. I said it on egriz and ags, my hats off to the parents, they were more than fair, and actually showed some class in how to handle a dispute. :thumb: :thumb:

I don't know the kid that got punched, but did hear from a few friends that have kids that know this kid, the kid was lucky it took that long for someone to have enough of his lip. Sounds to me that very few people on campus were to surprised that he got punched. I also doubt it would have went this far if racial slurs were not involved. Sounds like to me, this kid did more than run his mouth. He crossed the lines with a very delicate issue that needs to be handled with some sort of common sense.

I met TJ briefly last year when I was back home. He did not come off as thug or punk to me. In fact he was very cordial to me. Granted it was only a short interaction, nonetheless he made a good impression on me.

Finally, I hope all of the involved individuals never have another run in like this or worse. I hope lessens were learned. Sounds to me, as for the kids and families involved all is understood, respected, and good now. I will be surprised to hear of TJ or Swink in any kind of trouble again. Sounds like a pretty typical college thing to me. I wonder how many stupid and irresponsible things we all did in our teens and early 20's? God only knows how I got by as easily as I did when I look back at things. :thumb:

If it is true (I agree, student newspapers aren't really the most credible of sources), then I'm certain that the "victim" said something stupid to provoke it.

Yes, the football players probably should have shown better judgement and walked away (or summoned some non-football friends to smack the guy around some). But still.

Personally, I found the coaches quote the most amusing:
On Tuesday, after the football team’s weekly press conference, Hauck was asked to comment about the allegations surrounding Johnson and Swink.

“You’re done for the day,” said Hauck, while covering up the tape recorder. “And you’ll be done for the season if you keep bugging me about this thing that I’ve answered four fucking times.”

I agree on that, it was a great comment :thumb:

Too bad Hauck did not add "Welcome to the world of journalism kid!"

What I find highly entertaining is how quick folks are to post any/all things relating to the Griz...SPECIFICALLY, the negative stuff.

I'm thinkin' that when these "people" hear the "Uh-Oh...More Griz players in trouble" news, their dicks become rock hard, and they can't get to a keyboard fast enough.

Just a few thoughts, but highly entertaining to me none the less.

I thank those folks for the laughs, and feel sorry for them at the same time! :coffee:

It said it in the Kaimen article I read, I have a friend that has a little brother that knows the victim and says this is par for the course. Secondly he called a couple of friends to have a little help there as he assumed he was pretty outnumbered since there was a dozen other people at the party that he may have assumed were friends of the kid that STARTED the shit with him.

The victim doesn't have a problem, TJ doesn't have a problem with it. The "victim" and TJ are both adults that got into a fracass and want to let it be but people want to make it out like it's a big deal.

Going to the game so I'll talk at ya tomorrow.

Yeah brother I had 3 or 4 beers in me just on the walk across the parking lot to go over to my tailgate.

That's gonna happen when you run into PolsonGriz, Grizchik, and Grizo on the way though.
