Game 1 success for SUU

Post by TBirdz »

I think the mutual feeling out of S. Utah is that game 1 was a huge success for SUU. The team did what they had to do and took care of a D2 school in a game that had a lot of rivalry emotions. Record crowd as well. Hopefully can keep the enthusiasm and excitement rolling. Find out how good we really are next week at San Diego St.

Great game for SUU, now lets take it to the Aztecs! Wish i could have been there to see that record crowd, 10,000 +!, we had over 244 yards rushing and Cade Cooper played as good as advertised :thumb:

I wouldnt get too cocky there, tbird fans. This D2 team held your back to 5 yards per rush, although he did gain 100+ yards rushing, he didnt score touchdowns. The QB looks good, but i think your rushing game is going to hold the team back. :twocents:

Once again Mr Negativity comes through  , i agree that we have some things to work on being it the first week of the season and all, but i think we will be fine, not saying it will be an easy three weeks but i believe SUU can pull off at least a win or two :thumb:

I'd take an average of 5 yards every carry anyday of the week. But then again, it was against DII competition. If they can do that against DI, then they won't have a problem.

If you guys get one win out of those three games I would say there is a noticeable improvement going on. Two wins would be leaps and bounds in improvement. Unfortunately Tbird that is three road games and it is an extra element of toughness in travel like that three weeks in a row. I think you will be likely to play well in those games but winning even one of them would be a feather in your cap in my mind. Good luck on em', but that's a tough slate for any team.

Oh YEAH, that's the other thing I wanted to say was great job by the fans to show up and start hittin' the bricks for the team. You need that as much as anything to get the culture there turned into one of good football. Good deal of props to the fans. :thumb:
