which may not seem cold to Montana fans, but its cold for most others.
Exactly...I would go if UMass ever made it again and sit thought those kind of temps...but the more casual fans won't...and those are the folks you want to get to the games...

They need to put the Championship game in a more neutral location especially if a western team gets into the game, somewhere in the heartland of the U.S.A like Texas or you could go further north to like minnesota and play in the dome.

It's a pretty neutral location now...considering the placement of FCS schools...
It's already west of the 50% line...not enough to complain about...
But, the bulk of FCS schools are east of the Mississippi...moving it any further west than it is would take it further out of it's core area...

Be interesting to see what the affects of the recent FCS addtions - UND, USD, Lamar, ODU and Ga State do to the line - move it somewhat west.

Too cold for casual fans buttnuts. You are always going to get the diehard FCS fans and the fans for each school. That's not going to fill the stadium every year, which is a fact. In order for this game to be succesfull and generate some hype, I think you need at least 10,000 fans with no affiliation to the schools playing. You aren't getting those people to sit their ass in the stands when its 20 degrees out. Not happening.
I think the game should be moved to Orlando. Not only would that be an attractive travel destination to potentially bring more fans to the game, but more importantly, it is an easy drive for me so that I could be in attendance.

With a week's notice between the semi's and the NC it was valuable to have the game within driving distance of a large number of FCS schools. That should still be a consideration in the future but depending on how they structure the playoffs there might be an opportunity to select more of a warm weather destination site that the fans of the participating schools can get to with a little more time to plan.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

There will be roughly 3 weeks between the Semi's and the Championship game when the playoffs expand to 20 and the Championship game gets moved to the night before the BCS Championship game. That happens with the 2010 season - next season.
All this talk about the Championship forced me to book a room in "Nooga for this year. Quarter mile from the stadium. (I hope I don't end up having to cancel the reservation. )
I really don't give a rats azz about casual fans. If your fan base is so weather challenged that they refuse to watch a team play for a NC in cold weather, fvck'em we don't need them.
