GAM: ILS -1; O/U 49; Mythical score ILS 25-24 The Redbirds are fighting for their playoff spot and the GAM shows it with another close game forecast. ILS has a clear advantage on defense.

GAM: UND -8; O/U 64; Mythical score UND 36-28 If UND is going anywhere they need a big, big win. On the bubble but out of gas? I doubt it, they took more days off than most teams in the division. Having little defense The GAM is telling us UND will pour it on just like last weeks 45-38 shoot-out.

Four teams at 5-2. There is some shaking out to do in the final week of play. SDSU has been upset once, SIU faces the Herd Saturday, UNI hanging by a thread but a victory saturday is probably a playoff spot for them and a 6-2 finish for ILS gives then a spot.

NDSU vs. Montana is a prime match-up already in the gossip mill.

The other great contender JMU would be a welcome opponent in Fargo (would have to be the playoffs because of JMU), Minneapolis (Impossible because of JMU) or Nashville (impossible because of JMU). Of course Frisco too, but probably not the best team for the Title game. They only drew 14,423 fans to their trip to Frisco. I think you can revisit the history of the JMU dynasty on a Bisonville thread.

If NDSU has been ordained to the title game, and they have, I prefer Montana. It would be interesting having the two great dynasties meet in the title game. We will see all kinds of replays of the fake/FG-punt that won the game for the Herd when they went into Washington Grizz for the upset as a D2. NDSU has a history of using the fake/FG-punt and only the puds fall for it anymore.

On the other hand the other upset in Missoula will be mentioned too. We already see the Griz fans mentioning it.

This week the Griz are +8 to the Herd on a neutral field.

I will contend UND hockey at Madison Square Garden was better and bigger stage then NDSU at Frisco. How to beat events at MSG, the worlds greatest venue, as the PA tells every chance he gets, the history there, Empire State building gathering of fans versus Twin Peaks.

So some days Lakes deserves credit for his passion and commitment.

I think I CAN say we all pretty much get that point. We get it. The question is why does he have to beat us over the head with the same shit every freaking day?
But Ive got to give him credit for one thing---he reminds me and confirms why I chose not to have kids.

Im not sure 56bison73s choice to not have kids was voluntary or up to him at all. Im sure glad he didn't.

It's hats off to Lakes Bison for having to put up with this guy. Lakes understands why NDSU should move to FBS. its obvious. Guys like this 56bison73 are the broken records. These are the people that make NDSU and NDSU football unbearable. He is a broken record from the D2 days spouting the same garbage about moving to FCS he spouts now. He and a couple others demand constantly everybody shut-up that doesn't agree with them. Big mouth with no vision played far too many games with the leather helmet.

Here is a rational outlook for NDSU as independent:

Compared to a B1G schedule? no. Compared to a MVFC schedule? lol we have fun games occasionally against SDSU and maybe UNI 5-6 years ago but lets not get carried away.

9- Wyoming

No one is under the illusion that this is a ridiculously exciting schedule compared to a P5 Schedule. but you think this is LESS exciting than our current MVFC schedule?

I specifically left off the top 10ish G5 teams off the schedule lol. cincy, Boise, UCF, Memphis, USF, heck even Tulane, App State, Navy, SMU etc. No one is pretending this is EXACTLY like alabama's schedule, but to pretend that its not more exciting than our schedule this year is a little out of touch.

Again- this isnt to say that indepenent is a no brainer- it isnt- but going independent has a ton of faults. being more boring than our schedule isnt one of them

What is needed is the IPF which is on the way. There is vacant space in the locker room area now for the new offices of the head coach and the addition of the 22 scholarships for both the Bison and visitors.

There is so much potential. why play Butler in Mnpls when it could be the Gophers/Iowa/Kansas etc at Target?

The Fabulous Fargo Dome will fill to capacity with the right schedule and the right schedule is not possible in the FCS. The domination is too complete and the evolution of the NDSU football program too profound. It can only be laid to waste by indifference and neglect.

Growth is necessary for the NDSU football program to reach its full potential on and off the field. With a little luck NDSU could find itself defending the FCS National Championship against the FBS national Champions next season. That game would open some eyes to the potential.

It would help a lot if the 56 guy and some guy named cas and their followers would stop being the wet blanket authorities on this, they aren't and haven't been, ever. They only see problems and no solutions. They are the among the vocal anchors to the future of Bison football. If anyone should shut-up it should be them. The discussion needs to happen and the growth needs to continue.

I think the loss to Minnesota kept the Jacks from reaching their potential. They struggled a lot this year.

They are waking up in Vermillion to the joy of victory. The Big Win was a thing of beauty. USD has been up and down all season but the GAM always saw the core of a good football team. Coach Nelson was looking you in the eye when he said they are building a team to compete. The joy of the big win. Being an old Yotes fan I have to say I enjoyed it too.

We are tabulating results on each of the 3 factors over the season. does the GAM do better on spread, O/U or forecasting straight out winners?

Overall, as a guide, it did very well beating Vegas out of $2,215 using $100. There was 1 losing week and 1 open.

We will not give it back during the playoffs. Conservation of capital is the word, opportunity the object of our search.
