Thomas Bauer
Montana: Thomas joined the team last winter and will see action at linebacker and on special teams as well.
Junior College: Thomas played at Saddleback City College in Mission Viejo, Calif., in 2007, where he was a first team All-Mission Conference pick at middle linebacker... he was one of the leading tacklers on his 7-3 team a year ago and had 17 tackles for loss, five sacks, and four forced fumbles.
Northern Colorado: He was a starter in 2006 as a freshman and was ranked 10th in the Big Sky Conference in total tackles and had the second most stops on the team...nominated for Big Sky ?Player of the Week? twice as a freshman.
High School: He prepped at Niwot High School and was a first team all-state pick by Rocky Mountain News and Denver Post as a senior for his Northern Conference champion 12-1 team...senior season had 103 tackles, including 15 for loss, along with 11 sacks, and offensively he had 540 yards receiving and rushed for 300 yards...named the All-Area Defensive Player of the Year his senior season...first team all-conference as a junior and senior and a three-year starter...All-Arena as a junior and senior in football for coach Ron Tesone....?Most Valuable Linebacker? in 2003 and ?Most Valuable Defender? in 2004...also earned three letters in baseball, and his junior and senior teams won state titles, going 25-1 and 26-1.
