CAA Defenses are Great...

Post by kalm »

Because the offenses truly suck.

Seriously...there are linebacker/running backs in the Big Sky that could start at QB for 3/4's of the CAA.

Six teams got in for what? So four of them could lose out in the first round.

Clown football!

A record SIX teams from the CAA get in & NONE of them win!? Had Delaware not been playing a conference mate, it may have been FIVE CAA TEAMS OUT IN THE FIRST ROUND!

Monmouth & Eastern Kentucky got screwed imo, & I hope the committee learns their lesson: one conference NEVER has six playoff quality teams.

I guess nobody listened the 50 or so times I said the CAA sucks balls this year. Or that Delaware is NOT a playoff team.

This is what you get with a 24 team field. TERRIBLE teams like Delaware, Towson, Stony Brook, and Elon get in.

Don't thump your chests too much though. There's only one good team in FCS right now. Just give them their trophy again now. It's a pointless drill for everyone else.

FCS is historically bad at the moment, as I've shown with actual statistics in previous posts.

I think it has been made abundantly clear over the last decade that when it comes to the playoff selection committee, legacies count as much as records.

You also get autobids from conferences like the Pioneer

With 16 teams it is easier to pick the at-large teams (although the term "Woffed" was coined back in the days of 16 teams, I believe)

I must have missed your actual statistics. Post them here.

I was impressed with SEMO and Duquesne. They passed the eyeball test. Especially the Hines kid from Duquesne. NFL type back.

You replied to it. With nothing of substance refuting it.

Don't make me slap you and embarrass you in public. I know how that can damage a kid's self-esteem. I try to avoid it.

I checked the 1st page and saw a lot of opinion and a mention of eyeballs. The stats must have come later.

I thought the final decision was that the CAA and ECB was down, and the first round was proof enough. JMU is the only good team, as you pointed out.

Maine was lucky to have JSU or otherwise the CAA would be gone already.
