It was such a weird game to watch. Neither team played well on offense. In fact, both were rather ugly. Had either team clicked on offense it would have been a blow out for either team.

Ursus, Alpha, Rob and I were sitting around talking and drinking after game game and were trying to think of how to describe it. Ugly was about the best word, but beyond that we couldn't call it a good game. About the only word we could agree on was competitive. It wasn't a "good" game. It was hard to watch. I wanted to jump off the north concourse I was on a few times just so I did t have to watch it anymore.

Of not for the Griz DB's, #1 specifically, playing the ball in air as well as they did Bailey is probably 22 or 24 of 36 for about 260 yards and 2 or 3 TDs.

Bailey was on the money most of the night with good touch but the DB out-dueled the UNI WR.

Bailey missed long on a few throws that were open, but #1 had amazing closing speed and hand awareness

"Affluent" was origionally typed as "intelligent" ... auto correct on these phones drive me crazy.
I just threw a stat out there about bailey's completion .. never had the privilege to watch the game ... I know there was a good game with a lot more behind the scenes than stats show.
I know Bailey is capable of better stats than that, we have played him ... lol
I was just trying to stop some of the pinhead, knee jerk posts that always follow a upset.
The year is still young my friend,

We will see what we will see.

Competitive might be the better word for it.

I said it before and I'll say it again:

It was very frustrating to watch. UNI would show a semblance of getting their shit together and then it would fall apart.

Bailey's passes looked better than they did last year.

Typical piss poor game/clock/timeout management by Farley and Co.

Congrats to the Griz on doing what they needed to do to get the W.

I don't think the problems are anywhere near as pronounced as that game would indicate. Both defenses are very good with a chance to be great and can make a QB look bad. Montana's D will slow down Big Sky O's and the QB and special teams will score enough points to win a lot of games.

During the game I was very upset that Bailey was standing so long in the pocket and taking sacks and I wanted him to tuck it and run. While that might have actually helped them win that game I think that hanging in the pocket was more important for his overall development and long-term improves our chances of finishing the season with a win. UNI's D Backs played better than they did against Iowa State and I feel pretty good about UNI's prospects for this season if they continue to improve.

I thought UM would be more successful against your secondary, but no. Not sure what that means but it has to mean at the least your secondary is decent.

I'm biased but I appreciate great defense and a good hard-hitting game (from both teams), even though the lack of offense at times was kind of frustrating.
