Re: NDSU @ YSU
King Frazier goes up against his former coach at Nebraska.
If YSU can't stop the run, it will be 30 points. If they stop the run, it will be close. Easton Stick has a good crop of receivers, but YSU has a good pass defense.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Good thing the Griz lit a fire under these complacent pussies. They are finally playing with a modicum of effort.

Re: NDSU @ YSU
BOY that was a questionable interference call against YSU near the end of that last drive. Don't know if NDSU wouldn't have made the first down on the next play anyway. But BOY that was ticky tacky.
Also sad for YSU that a little earlier a Penguin receiver dropped a long pass.

Like every game, there are questionable calls. Some are more noticeable due to timing. Refs are part of the game.JohnStOnge wrote:BOY that was a questionable interference call against YSU near the end of that last drive. Re: NDSU @ YSU
Yes I agree. For years I've typed that random chance is a factor in the outcome and the officials are a big part of that. What they see and don't see. The decisions they happen to make. Something neither team has any control over and it does go each way with respect to the team it benefits a large number of times during each game. But I doubt that it ever "evens out." It's always going to end up being a net benefit...however large or small...for one team.Like every game, there are questionable calls. Some are more noticeable due to timing. Refs are part of the game.
That's not the biggest thing that stood out that happened late in any case. The biggest thing was that YSU receiver dropping the ball on that late possession.
In any case I was right when I answered "no" to the question at the start of the thread about would NDSU beat YSU by 30. BTW I thought it was cool to be watching two programs with 4 national titles each...one which was dominant in the past and one that's dominant now. Just something about seeing the uniforms and such.

Re: NDSU @ YSU
YSU did a great job stopping the run and the first 3 quarters, NDSU did not do a great job stopping the run. Exciting game to watch until Bo went nuts.Gil Dobie wrote:King Frazier goes up against his former coach at Nebraska.
