Pre-season poll has Coastal Carolina ranked # 17 with several other teams in the "Others receiving votes" including TXST.

I know you don't follow UNI wrestling and what is going on here at all but it is getting bad. The program has gone from top 10 in the nation to not even top 25...yep a school in Iowa that doesn't have a top 25 program, figure that shit out. The coach sucks, there is little to no support from anyone, and the only reason they stay relevant is because they are in a shitty shitty conference and can beat up on shittier schools.


At least baseball was competive. UNI can't even put points up against Iowa or Iowa State anymore....at one time we did beat them.

Fullerton opens the season with our old coach's current school, Oregon. (Feb. 19)

Harvard, as with the rest of the Ivy League, opens their season much later, on March 6 in the Bright House Invitational at Stetson (Notre Dame, Stetson, K-State, Harvard).

Comparing their OOCs, here's what I found:

Fullerton won't really go out of California this season, as they will only travel to Tucson, AZ, and Seattle, WA. The rest of the stadiums they will play in during the regular season are in California.

Harvard, as I have said earlier, opens the season in Stetson's home field. Then they will go to the Metrodome tournament (Minnesota, South Dakota State, Creighton, Harvard). Afterwards, they will journey through North Carolina (Winthrop, Charlotte, UNC Greensboro, Gardner-Webb) and also New England (Sacred Heart, Holy Cross, Hartford) for their annual pre-Ivy games, and of course, the Beanpot Invitational (sandwiched in between Ivy games featuring BC, Northeastern and Harvard).

Not so sure about that at UNI. The baseball team did so much fund raising because the university didn't want to fund it...which is why it was cut, along with title9.

Iowa State got hit square in the balls by Title 9 a couple years ago. They are trying to get it back, from what I hear. UNI's last season was 2009 after 108 years. A lot of rumors going around but from what I can tell from work it was a combo of lack of support (administration and fan), Title IX(it was between WR and baseball..baseball used 2 more scholarships I believe), and cost.

I think UNI was using 11.7 and wrestling is running on like 9.9 so baseball got the ax
