You should be embarassed because you think an FCS team could compete day in and day out with ANY of the teams in the big five conferences. That's what's fucking embarassing.

Another case of Willie being an idiot. What I said was that FCS football is better to watch than FBS football. I never said that Drake could beat Oregon. There are INDIVIDUAL FCS teams that can be competitive with FBS schools (NDSU and EWU easily come to mind), and many FCS teams that can whip lower- to middle-tier FBS teams (heck, even Liberty has defeated the likes of Ball State).

All I'm saying is that FCS-vs.-FBS isn't necessarily an auto-loss (it depends on the matchup), and that the way the game is played in FCS is better IMO than FBS. I hate the bowl system and how horribly business-like the FBS brand has become. FCS isn't like that. If you don't agree with me, fine. It's a free country. But that's no reason to take unwarranted shots like the Evil Twins, Willie.

TCU vs Oregon would have been an epic game.
Not if TCU would've turned the ball over the way Florida State did.

I'm glad Oregon won and I think they would've won anyway if the turnover thing hadn't been like it was in that game. But you're not going to turn the ball over the way Florida State did WHEN it did in a game like that and have ANY shot whether you're Florida State or TCU or anybody else.

BDK: The upper half of the Sky, CAA, and MVC can whip most of the MAC and Sun Belt any day of the week.

Suffice to say that when Abilene Christian split its games with Georgia State and Troy this past season it maintained a situation in which the Southland and Sun Belt are tied in their all time series since the Sun Belt became a football league. Can't remember exactly what it is. Maybe 11 -11. Something like that.

McNeese State is 3-0 against the Sun Belt. I think Sam Houston State is also undefeated against the Sun Belt but I don't feel like looking it up right now.

But you get the picture. That's why I find it so sad that Georgia Southern and Appalachian State felt they were "upgrading" by sacrificing their positions as traditional I-AA/FCS powers to go to the Sun Belt. That was not an upgrade from the Southern Conference in my opinion. I guess perception wise it may have been. But what they've done is relegate themselves to perpetual irrelevance within the level within which they are playing (IA/FBS).

Why should I let Internet bullies have their way? Not that BDK is necessarily a bully, but Willie sure has been lately, as have the Evil Twins. I'm going to stand up for what I believe is right. Too many people try to have those games both ways, as in ANY FBS game is an autoloss for ANY FCS team, then when proven wrong, they try to hide behind "well, that team sucks anyway, so it shouldn't count."

That's bullcr@p, IMO....

The definition of "whip" is beat by at least 3 TDs. No, the upper half of the BigSky/CAA/MVFC couldn't whip most of the MAC, C-USA, or Sunbelt any day of the week.

The CAA/MVFC/Big Sky was 1-3 vs the C-USA/MAC/Sunbelt

Toledo (9-4/7-1) 54, UNH (12-2) 20
Il State (13-1/7-1) 27, Ball State (5-7/4-4) 20

NM St (2-10/1-7) 28, Cal Poly (7-5/5-3) 10

Marshall (13-1/7-1) 48, URI (1-11/1-7) 7

Congrats to Ohio State. I'll take my extra large crow pizza now, no anchovies.

Now let's see if the SEC will modernize their offenses or if they will make themselves irrelevant.

A FBS win over an FCS is almost assured each game. Through 2013, FBS schools have a record of 2028-423-18 (.824) against the FCS. Since 1978, the FCS has beaten a major FBS school 65 times.

Get used to it. OSU is going to be around for a long, long time.

1. OSU
2. Alabama
3. TCU
4. Baylor

That's how I see next year's playoff.

If they both do as well as they did this season, aside from Baylor's bowl game, I think it's a possibility. The B1G exposed the SEC this year pretty bad, so I think there will definitely be a giant microscope on them all season.
