Tim Taylor 1942-2013

A sad day for both Yale and Harvard as Taylor was a former Harvard hockey captain.

Tim Taylor, whose tenure as Yale coach lasted 30 years and included two sabbaticals to coach the U.S. Olympic team, died Saturday, the New Haven Register reported. He was 71.

I think you are mistaken.

Sad day for college hockey. Tim Taylor was an assistant to Harvard's Billy Cleary for several years before revitalizing Yale's program. RIP.

And congrats on Yale's title, bulldog! Now you know how we felt back in '89! I'll never forget watching Eddie Krayer's OT goal that beat Minnesota. :thumb:

For another brief glimpse of that OT goal, go to the :46 mark
