GOP to cut delgates in half for some states

I understand rules and penalties, but since we use delgates to speak for the people, do these actions take away voting power from the states? Should citizens of states be "punished" for the behaviors of Political Parties?

I would guess that by the 2012 presidential election cycle, there will be a national primary election day in place. It will probably be in March or April of every presidential election year and will work just like the current election day works as far as local, state and federal offices all being decided on one ballot. And that way all the states will vote the same day for the presidential candidates and there will be no more of this nonsense about which states get to vote first and what happens to other states that try to buck the system and etc. And it will give the primary winners 7 or 8 months to campaign so the media will still have ample time to make all their money off the campaign ads! And the American public will continue to be driven stark raving mad due to seeing and hearing the same campaign ads over and over and over and over and over and ...........

That won't work in James Tiberius Kirk's home state, dude. There's no such thing as a "primary" there. They have something a little more democratic called a caucus.
