Say hello to Capt. Katie Higgins, USMC, the first female demonstration pilot in the history of the Blue Angels!

Before you whine about the fact that she's flying a C-130 vice an F/A-18, note that that is HER choice, as she loves the C-130.

Thats a big, coveted job in the Angels and you are the only pilot in the military who gets to REGULARLY use RATO pods on a C-130.

A hornet pilot is in the works too, and no reason for there not to be... women are naturally more G tolerant than men

Our plan is to be at Pensacola NAS next Wednesday morning to watch the Blue Angels practice before heading into Destin, FL. If you're remotely interested in military aircraft and you ever get the chance check out the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola.

Doesn't matter if she likes it. When you say someone is flying in the Blue Angeles you're thinking of the jet.

That might be true, JSO, but without that qualification, the false INFERENCE is that she's flying the jumbo jet because she can't handle a fighter. Patent hogwash....
