O'Malley isn't running, his Lt Gov (Brown) is the Dem. He's horrible, but the GOP candidate doesn't really present well. Two times he crushed Brown, I mean crushed him with substance, but the average person probably didn't realize it because his delivery was soft. Given that we are a blue state by a 2-1 margin, the fact that Hogan is within 8-9 points in the polls is telling IMO.
