Let me be the 1 billionth person to note: "This isn't likely going to work"
but Switzerland is an unusual country - so if there was any place on earth this kind of thing had a chance - its with the Swiss

High minimum wage, no military industrial complex, tax haven. What's not to like?

Thank goodness. Same old same old. Government of ANY country compelling ANY minimum wage is wrong because it's compelling people to pay more for something than it is worth. But this would've been REALLY over the top.

They may not have a MIC, but they DO have some semblance of a military, despite being the world's longest surviving official "neutral."

kalm just got wood.
Similar to unions, I'm neutral regarding the minimum wage and almost lean against it. That being said, I haven't seen anywhere with a high minimum wage that has tumbled into chaos.

I'd say labor unions certainly took a toll on US manufacturing by artificially raising wages above the market rate. We won't get a steel industry back in the US because of it most likely.
