What he means was that the article was a sensationalistic "I can't believe she just said that!" rather than a serious piece of investigative journalism. If it were, the author would have looked at the prof's sources and found other sources that would counter her conclusions.

FWIW, I don't see such a "connection," either. There may or may not be things to which one could connect porn, but even an indirect link to homosexuality is so far-fetched as to be laughable, IMO.

Yes. That's pretty much it. The author talked about her citing some other guy who talked about how interfering with insects with a certain source of stimulation altered the normal course of sexual behavior. And he talked about the other author comparing that source of stimulation to pornography. He did nothing at all to rebut any of that. As I read it I was expecting him to maybe contend that when the Liberty professor cited the other guy she misrepresented him. But he didn't.

The author did absolutely nothing to support his apparent position on the matter.

No, clenz. You're taking that a step too far. This is the opinion of ONE professor, NOT the school's position. The school's position on homosexuality does NOT address causes. This is one of the things that happens when you actually allow academic freedom instead of firing tenured professors because they don't agree with someone else's position on the topic, as happens WAY too often regarding Evolution.
