When that quote in the Hostess Twinke thread, I couldn’t help but think of the irony. I don’t know if the poster himself has a company retirement plan, that’s not the point, but it reminded me that it should be no surprise that most of the people in that salary range do not have a company-sponsored retirement. So, if he were in CA, here is a nice kid in his twenties, with a good work attitude, working hard, has a plan for his personal employment growth, wants to work into management, and is building a life for himself. And here is the Mystery Party, working to take 3% of his pay and funnel it into CALPERS to cover the under funding of CALPERS 150+ k$/yr public employee pensions, at 50 year old, no less!I'm in a "management" role in my current job and I'm making less than $17 an hour right now...
As for Gov. Fudge Brownie, well, he is a hero having balanced the budget…… eerrrrr, by deferring state payments to CALPERS!!!!
This for me strips off any veneer that this Party exists for any purpose other than to perpetuate itself and feed it’s cliente.
