Estonia Makes USA Look Like it's in the Stone Age-

Post by expandspanos »

Electric Car Charing Stations show up all over Estonia

As American JACKASS MORONS PAY $4.50 a GALLON!

Estonia's government sets up fast-electric charging stations over their entire highway system to make driving for practically ZERO a reality.

Estonia just launched the world’s first nationwide EV fast-charging network with chargers placed in every town, village, and along highways. The installation of 165 fast chargers began in summer 2012 to service 650 all-electric vehicles currently listed in the country’s traffic register. EV users can charge batteries to 90 percent in less than 30 minutes, paying between 2.5 and 5 euros per charge.

Do you people really think America can't set up electric charging stations? Or do you realize the sad reality- we're being bent over hard, in order to make a few entrenched elite richer than they are already, because our government has sold us out?

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Estonia is actually one of Europe's few capitalist paradises. My wife and I went to Tallinn on a cruise and had a great time. Skype was invented there!

Estonia is less than 1/4 the size of Kansas. Estonia car ownership is 474 cars per 1000 people. U.S. car ownership is 812 per 1000.

This. Estonia is smaller than Vermont and New Hampshire combined.

Plus Americans are smart enough that they don't want to drive little electric shitboxes.

Stop with the logic. Next thing you know somebody will suggest we model our banking system after Iceland or some other small, irrelevant country. :coffee:

I'll ask you again, expandos...how are you going to generate enough electricity for all of our vehicles to be plugged into the grid? It's far from a trivial amount of energy when you consider the many tens of millions of vehicles running each day on many kilowatts of power apiece every day.

Matter of fact, the evil oil kkkompanies would like it from a profit stand point because you would have to burn even more oil to generate enough electricity to charge the vehicles. Thermodynamics is a beeyotch.

And I won't get even into a comparison of the miles of road the US has in comparison to Estonia. :coffee:

No, i'm not. I've said many times on here that I love this country and am proud of this country and accept her for all her faults and blemishes. I'm realistic enough to realize that we don't always have the best ideas. We don't have the best policies and while we aren't like France or Greece, we aren't some Beacon on the Hill either. What is wrong with looking at services that work in another country and figuring out how to scale it and make it work in ours? You're a bad American if you can't see us for our faults as well as our successes.

I've seen a lot as well. I love how in Germany, I could walk to any Apotheke and get medicine without a prescription (after a consultation with the pharmicist) and that the medicine was exactly what I can get in the States (after I give my ID) and was cheaper.

Did you also like the fact that in Germany you can be jailed for saying things that could be interpreted as denying the Holocaust or racist?

I don't misunderstand what you are saying, but whether or not you need a scrip to go get your estrogen pills is small sauce compared to the freedoms we enjoy here (albeit trying to get rid of them.... see HR 347).

I think you do. You think that everything about America is great. Every policy, idea, program is exceptional. And I'm saying that isn't true and we should discount what some other country does just because they are the size of Cook County, Il. Shit, we saw what Hitler did with the interstate system and Social Security and we thought that was a good idea. The Netherlands have a good idea on drug laws. Why can't we consider that and scale it for America? Why are we stuck on an agrarian calendar for our schools? The long summer break is detrimental to learning and retaining knowledge.

I await your next post where you suggest that I approve of France's high tax rate or Ireland's Zero Abortion law.
