Yeah the wealthy have suffered so much under the Obama administration
we need somebody like Mitt Romney to help them out - if they can just hold on

Re: Obama: "I Actually Believe In Redistribution"
It's not a question of the wealthy doing well - with the money they have, they will always do well regardless of the political climate. They have the resources to be able to keep their resources no matter what government does. However, the actions of the wealthy do impact the greater economy, and at an amplified level because of the disproportionate wealth. And since those of us who are not wealthy can either do well or not so well depending on the political climate, then that's what matters.Chizzang wrote:Yeah the wealthy have suffered so much under the Obama administration

Re: Obama: "I Actually Believe In Redistribution"
And so, it's not a question of whether Obama is going to "hurt" the rich or if Romney is going to "help" the rich, which is what you had alluded to in your other post. It's more a question of who is going to be able to get the rich off the sidelines and help the economy (by spending more of their money) versus who might have them squirrel it away or spend it elsewhere. But the wealthy aren't going to suffer - no matter who is President.Chizzang wrote:And... so... (your point is)GannonFan wrote:

Yup. He was quite clear about this all along and the sheep either didn't care, didn't believe him, or really thought Obama was going to give them money.AZGrizFan wrote:Good to know he hasn't flip flopped on that policy position.

Re: Obama: "I Actually Believe In Redistribution"
I feel so bad for the Wealthy in this country right now
Obama has been taking away all their monies - FOX news keeps telling me that - even though actually
The Elite wealthy have never been richer or had it better that RIGHT NOW
89hen their are two drums being banged - over and over
1) Telling us that wealth is being redistributed
2) the other showing us that the wealthy are getting richer and richer
So if I tell you - wealth is being redistributed
and then I show you who keeps getting richer
Could you please describe where this re-distribution is going..?

1) The rich don't pay their fair share of the tax burden
2) The percentage of people who pay NO taxes goes up every year
Please describe how much is a "fair share"?

Re: Obama: "I Actually Believe In Redistribution"
I love the desperation here. Romney puts his foot in his mouth and has to break out a 14 year old clip in response. No doubt Obama can break out some hard to explain clips of Romney. As much as Romney has flip flopped on issues like abortion and Romneycare I'm not sure breaking out old clips is a good move.
Of course, Obama doesn't need any old clips right now. BDKJMU thought 'you didn't build this' was a good talking point he must love the 'I don't care about the 47%'. The dems will run with that for as long as they can and there are only 7 weeks left.

Re: Obama: "I Actually Believe In Redistribution"
The fact that those comments are only seeing the light of day now- and not in 2008- along with the fact that anybody would actually defend them, to me signals two much bigger issues... one being the national media being largely in the tank for him and failing to properly vet him, and secondly our nation has lost its way and is turning into a moocher society.
It is sad on many levels and portends poorly for our future, whether Obama is gone in 4 months or 4 years.

Or maybe the National media just doesn't do their homework. I'm sure FoxNews would have run this if they knew it was out there.blueballs wrote:The fact that those comments are only seeing the light of day now- and not in 2008- along with the fact that anybody would actually defend them, to me signals two much bigger issues... one being the national media being largely in the tank for him and failing to properly vet him, and secondly our nation has lost its way and is turning into a moocher society.

Meh...wealth is infinite and doesn't need to be redistributed ( I think JSO told me that once). All the 47% need to do is go out there and get after it.

Who cares what Obama said 14 years ago? He's been President for 3.5 years. Like him or not, you know what you've got. Finding this clip is just lame desperation.kalm wrote:Meh...wealth is infinite and doesn't need to be redistributed ( I think JSO told me that once). I'll say it again, Romney should be hammering Obama on the economy. Obama said lots of things during the 2008 campaign, many of which he failed to deliver on. Romney should be running ads with those sound bites non-stop for the next 7 weeks.
Our embassies are under attack, the economy still sucks and Obama is gaining in the polls. Romney is running one of the worst campaigns ever. Maybe it's a Massachusetts thing!?

Wrong. Like I just stated in the other thread, Romey has gained in the swing state polls. Obama's DNC bounce has evaporated.BlueHen86 wrote:Who cares what Obama said 14 years ago? In national polls, Obama is well ahead of where the last several winners were at this stage of the game. Unless something drastic happens, it's over. And yes, I'd put money on it (but not 10 grand).BDKJMU wrote:Wrong. Like I just stated in the other thread, Romey has gained in the swing state polls.
