The Truth About Gaddafi's Libya (Before NATO killed him)
Gaddafi was attempting to set up a currency called the Gold Dinar- A gold-backed currency which would become the sole currency Libya would accept for their oil sales.
This gold-backed currency would then replace the US dollar for oil sales in the Middle East.
Gaddaffi had to be killed.. he was even providing free farmland, healthcare and housing for his people.
Gaddaffi was making the leaders of the west look like greedy, incompotent bafoons, and was turning Libya into one of the highest quality of life nations in the world, #1in Africa.

I think it was always Gaddafi's goal to make Libya into a regional power and Eden, same with Saddam and Iraq. Easier said than done and it doesn't make them good guys.
If the quality of life in Libya was so good Gaddafi's own people wouldn't have risen up and NATO wouldn't have gotten involved.

Yup, Gaddafi so loved his people that they ROSE UP AND SLAYED HIM OUT OF HONOR AND LOVE FOR THE MAN! Sheesh. You're almost as stupid as SH.

The Truth About Gaddafi's Libya (Before NATO killed him)
I heard that in return for helping them whack Qaddafi the Libyans are allowing us to set up detention camps for all those people who have real insider knowledge that 9/11 was an inside job.

So let me get this straight...Oil, one of Libya's top exports and a key player in its economy, was going to basically boycott ALL of its customers for not having a certain currency, that didn't exist. In effect, they wish to commit economic suicide.

I have, I just feel that there's a need to have at least a discussion with people like this who are so far gone. Dismissing them at first glance doesn't help anyone. Engaging them makes them lose their perceived martyrdom status so they can't whine about being censored and actually have to stick to the facts and the discussion.89Hen wrote:Have you not read expandos before?youngterrier wrote:There's no logical sense to this...
Though there are some who are so far gone that we don't need to try (like JSO and perhaps even this guy), it's best to at least engage them.

Man, gas @ 14 cents a gallon before we invaded Libya.. Free housing, electricity and medical care offered to all people.. sounds pretty good.
No wonder we invaded Libya- they were proving how easy it is to turn your country into a living paradise, while our corrupt ass government is in bed with corporations and monopolies gouging us for every cent we have.

Are you naive enough to think that a bunch of "rebels" suddenly have advanced tanks, flags, uniforms, logistical support, air-cover and anti-aircraft weapons?BlueHen86 wrote:It sure does. Libya had been under embargo for years, and the tanks the "rebels" suddenly had were more advanced than even the Libyan military had access to- so the question is, did the tanks rise out of the sands of the Sahara? Where did all the tanks come from?
Turns out the "rebels" had UN weapons and UN rounds: The FN-FAL is a gun solely used by NATO troops, with NATO rounds- Gaddaffi didn't have access to such a gun, and the rebels used it almost exclusively:

But why were there rebels? If Libya was the paradise that describe why would anyone want to change?expandspanos wrote:Are you naive enough to think that a bunch of "rebels" suddenly have advanced tanks, flags, uniforms, logistical support, air-cover and anti-aircraft weapons?BlueHen86 wrote:

Re: The Truth About Gaddafi's Libya (Before NATO killed him)
The FN-FAL is used by numerous armies around the would, dumb ass. It's not some super secret weapon that only NATO has access to. It's also sold to the public in many countries, including this one (which I'm sure sets off your bells and tin foil hat).expandspanos wrote:Are you naive enough to think that a bunch of "rebels" suddenly have advanced tanks, flags, uniforms, logistical support, air-cover and anti-aircraft weapons?BlueHen86 wrote:
