Of course, you guys know already for whom I voted in the primary. I have yet to decide on Romney or pulling the same stunt in the general election. There's no way in heck I'm crossing the line in THIS election as I did in the last two Assembly elections.

I voted no here, but I'll probably vote for him in November. I didn't vote for him in the primary either, but he's a better option than what we have. Him being Mormon has nothing to do with it (he could be a Scientologist, so it could be worse), his silver spoon upbringing bothers me a bit, but he really couldn't help that. He comes off as arrogant, but less so than Obama plus he does have some real world experience running a large organization which certainly couldn't be said for then-candidate Obama in '08.

He's probably a better golfer than Obama, but less of a basketball player. 8-)

Well gill is not a republican, but he did say he liked brother Romney in the poll, 89er came on to say he does not like him, and to throw out a quick insult towards my membership to the Republican Party, but I do not believe he voted, so with that in mind,

It appear here as in the national poll, only one out of six Republicans can say they like Mitt Romney.

Will their utter hatred of Obama be enough to get them out of the bars and into the polls? Time will tell.

I think if you dig up Repub's opinions on McCain in '07-'08 most weren't exactly on fire about him either. Palin (briefly) seemed to help him out in my opinion as I thought she handled herself pretty well in her convention speech, but then the wheels fell off. If McCain had been 55 or so instead of his age folks might have made it a little tighter election. For me, the thought of McCain croaking in office and the rogue grizzly soccer mom being addressed as president spooked me.

I was fooled: I assumed the top line was yes, so I inadvertently voted no. This poll was rigged!

Actually, since the poll question is phrased in the conjunctive -- where I have to like him both as a person and as a candidate -- I can live with my "no" vote. I'm not wild about him as a candidate. He's about my fourth choice, and the other three didn't run.:coffee:

Why? Why waste your time driving to a polling location and standing in line if you are going to vote for some that

a) isn't running
b) has no shot at winning if she were running

Well, I'm not a registered Republican so I didn't vote. But I'll go ahead and say: No, I don't like Romney. Didn't like him when he ran the first time and don't particularly like him now. Wish the Republicans had a lot better candidate.

Having said that, I like Obama a lot less. So I will vote. And I will vote for Romney. I don't think it'll do any good. But that's what I'll do. I can only do what I can dot.

I don't know Romney so I don't know if I like him as a person. Do I like him as the R candidate - no. But there is no way in hell I'm voting for the guy that makes Jimmy Carter look like a great president. And I live in a swing state so in theory my vote counts. So I'll probably hold my nose and vote for Romney, just like I did for McCain, and Bush.....

I don't like Obama either. Part of me wishes the Republicans would have nominated a really strong candidate that appeals to every conservative ideal...that promised meaningful change...that sounded the death knell of the Democratic Party.

Then we could spend the next 4 years watching him disappoint everyone as he learns the rules of the corporatocracy.
