Patrick Greene has converted to Christianity after Christians helped him out after cataracts forced him out of his job. He says he plans to become a pastor now, although with failing eyesight that might be tough.

A major activist? Sounds like he protested one thing

Also why couldn't he be a blind pastor, it's not like being a member of the clergy requires any skills.

Good for him, but the most chilling part of the story was that a freakin' cataract couldn't be taken care of because he didn't have money. Vision is such an important human sense and this guy was about to lose his livelihood because he can't afford a simple procedure. I'm glad that the local church helped him out though.

never heard of him. googled him. Not many results. Had to incorporate the term atheist in the search to get anything and most of the stories that popped up were this one. Not much of a blow to the cause
