Medical MJ

Post by SuperHornet »

Something weird is going on here.

CBS-13 in Sac just reported that the Feds are declaring that MJ has no medical benefit.

Isn't this the same Administration that has declared that they're not going to enforce existing law about federal illegality of MJ in ANY form?

Sounds to me like they're trying to play this both ways. It doesn't work that way, folks. Pick a side.

Let me start by saying that I think marijuana should be legal in all forms.

That said, there is no credible scholarship or scientific research that confirms the medical benefits of marijuana. That kind of research is extremely limited by law. There are plenty of "studies" out there (that I am sure the expandablevagines will link to) that sing the praises of Mary Jane, but nothing credible in any recognized medical journals or the like. The whole medical MJ phenomenon is supported by the legalization crowd, and nothing more.

I think the sh!t should be legal, even if it was accepted science that it is just as bad for you as smoking cigarettes. (Which it is.)

Link away, potheads.

It has medical benefits in the same sense that morphine has medical benefits.

The hard part is: If you're going to do a clinical trial to see if marijuana has some positive effect on some disease condition, what are you going to use for a placebo? Obviously the people that get the placebo are going to know it's a placebo.
