If the vaccine is totally safe and necessary, why are so many health care workers across he country refusing to now take it? (Just web search ‘health care workers, vaccine, refusal’) It seems health care workers are right in line with the general population as far as percentages that are willing/unwilling to take the vaccine now.

They are refusing because they feel the people most at risk of surviving Covid, are not getting vaccinated. They are willing to give up their position in the vaccine line for a high risk person that needs it.

Chicago Mayor Calls for Bars, Restaurants to Reopen to Prevent Spread of COVID
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot called Thursday for the city’s restaurants and bars to be reopened as soon as possible, saying that it will prevent COVID-19 from spreading through private parties, because business owners can enforce social distancing protocols.

“If we have people and give them an outlet for entertainment in the restaurant space, in the bar space, we have much more of an opportunity, in my view, to be able to regulate and control that environment,” Lightfoot said.

Interesting idea. One of the issues for businesses has been asking low pay front line workers to confront the Karen's. But that also might mean hiring security or bouncers and putting more people back to work.

What an interesting idea indeed. One that the right has been suggesting for months.

Must have missed that one what with all the grunts about freedom, herd immunity, Sweden, and open everything back up.

An additional irony being we tried the honor system first, and now require chaperones for adults because they can’t be responsible in their own homes.

You did.

Everyone is tired of it including me and my family.

The arguments really haven’t changed much. Weighing an acceptable amount of deaths, healthcare costs, and long term health effects and costs was never going to be easy to make as a society. Some people weather the storm better than others.

The economic impacts of not taking it seriously from a lockdown standpoint and/or selfish behavior of things like not socially distancing or refusal to take a year off from normal holiday gatherings will be fascinating to see studied.

They have consequences too.

In addition to the Biden presidency starting so we have to change the narrative I'm sure part of it is looking at the massive budget holes they've created. Although the Dem trifecta will bail them out in the next stimulus bill.

What state legalized heroin? Oregon didn't - personal possession has been decriminalized not legalized. Possessing heroin for personal use is n longer a crime, possessing enough heroin to sell is still a crime.
